Short & Sweet

I know I’ve been talking a lot lately (a bit too much perhaps) about growing my hair out for the wedding.

I think it’s time to give the short-haired brides some love too.

It isn’t that I always saw myself as a bride with a long mane. When Andy and I got engaged I was already in the process of growing out a blunt bob and just decided to see how far I could go with it.

I have always found a short-haired do on a bride to be incredibly chic and classy. A great cropped cut shows off your neck and your beautiful face (especially the smile) and, best of all, it doesn’t require a ton of work to keep it looking fabulous through the night. (Which leaves a whole lot more time for the important stuff like being the life of your own party.)

No matter what my hair length is on our big day, I just hope I am half as lovely as the gorgeous and glowing ladies collected here.

If you have a Princess Di do on your wedding day, would you be mad if I laughed at you? All night?

I like your illustration the best of all of them. How cool would finger waves be?!

i’m sure you’ll look beautiful, but i know what you mean about these brides with short do’s. in addition to being glamorous they look so confident!

My hair was sooo long by the time of the wedding. I loved it but you’re right, short hair does show off your face, neck and smile :)

I’m sure you’re gonna look gorgeous on your big day!

If someone tells you that a birdcage veil is easy enough for a DIY, they are LYING!! I tried to make one for my wedding, to no avail. It’s totally worth the money to purchase a professionally made one. Thanks for the stunning inspiration! Chic Rooms

Hello! I’ve just been reading through your archives (so gorgeous, btw!), and I wanted to comment on this post. My cousin had very short her for her wedding and she was so stunning and glam. For the reception she took off her veil, didn’t have any jewellery, and just added an amazing sparkly hairpiece. So chic! I think you’ll be beautiful, congratulations! xx
