Everything Is Cooler In Paris

Francophiles across the globe will tell you, life just tastes sweeter in Paris. I wholeheartedly agree and am lucky to have spent a good amount of time there.

On my most recent trip, I set out to discover the new Paris that has been evolving over the past few years. Neighborhoods like the 14e and the 11e have become a blank canvas for young designers, chefs and musicians to strike out with something new. It is what Williamsburg in Brooklyn used to be about 10 years ago and, with any luck, won’t suffer the same fate of over-saturation and high-priced condos.

One new Parisian fashion designer that I particularly love is Emilie Casiez. Her clothing is fun, sexy and wearable and her use of color and print has my heart in a strangle-hold. I love her childlike scribbles and how they take on an edgy feel when printed in a very small scale, like a rock and roll ditsy print.
