Here’s The Plan

Inspired by a project at work, lately I have been trying to channel my sexy side more (I swear, this is work related).

I admit it, in the winter, all of my sex appeal goes right out the window (sitting here in sweatpants and a grandpa cardigan as I type). It is actually a fun challenge to try and heat things up.

Over the weekend I saw Country Strong starring Gwyneth Paltrow (who never seems to have trouble getting in touch with her sexy side). In one scene her character is giving an up and coming country star some career advice and she says: Wear high heels everywhere.

So I listened. I donned my new favorite heels (I finally caved and bought THESE) and took off around town feeling like a sexy New York lady.

But, after hitting every floor at Barneys, lunch, an art gallery, a coffee break and some more shops, I was hobbling down the street. I guess wearing high heels everywhere is only sexy if you also take cabs everywhere.

Can’t blame a girl for trying though, right?

Amen, sister. I am going to make my husband read your post. He’s constantly trying to get me to wear my heels more (hullo – mom of two boys under 5). I blame that damn Easy Spirit commercial for giving all men the wrong impression. :)

it’s so hard to feel sexy when it’s cold out. especially if it’s raining :( the shoes you bought though are damn sexy! maybe i just need a pair of sexy boots – im thinking thigh highs, or is that just flat out skanky? :x

It’s difficult wearing sexy heels when it’s crappy outside and the sidewalks are icy and treacherous. I usually go for wedged and clunky heels in the winter and I like to wear thick wool socks so I buy my boots a 1/2 size larger. I live in a very cold weather climate.
Love the boots you picked, maybe some insoles or cushioned socks would makes them more comfortable for you.

I’ve been trying this out too (or did before winter hit). It is not easy.
How do those high heeled girls do it?!

This image would make an awesome addition to your print shop. Hint Hint!
