Weekend Style

Hi there! No time for an illustrated blog post this morning we went out to a show for CMJ last night and when we got home I just had to catch up on Top Chef Just Desserts before bed.

(Does anyone else love this show? I am obsessed with Eric who is from Brooklyn’s own Baked–which you know I adore–he has been such a lovely competitor so far, really honest and kind and his food is beautiful! Mmm Baked, maybe I’ll go there this weekend!)

Speaking of the weekend, here’s a photo with some great style inspiration for weekend dressing. I’ve been really loving my new long chiffon skirt from American Apparel. I can’t stop wearing it.

This shot makes me want to pair it with a slouchy black tee and a brown belt and pair of boots. Of course given the chilly temperatures in NYC I’ll probably have to throw on my new favorite Madewell blazer. (Now on sale, snap one up!) Don’t forget the red lips either!

I am loving the new long lengths and drapey shapes. What will you be wearing this weekend?

Oh, wow, thanks for the link to the skirt, I love it!

i am determined to go try that skirt on this weekend… it looks a little sheer online, is it in real life?

i haven’t watched any Just Desserts yet, but i am a HUGE top chef fan, so i will probably do a Just Desserts marathon soon (if i can find it online).

p.s. i might be in NYC for work the first week of November – maybe we can have coffee or a drink!

    Roberta Jane,

The skirt is a little sheer but not so much that it is indecent. I wore a slip under it with bare legs and I think when I wear it again with tights it will be fine. Top Chef Just Desserts is great but it is HIGH drama, crazier than any Top Chef season yet!
