Tastes Good: Olympic Provisions – Portland

Well, we’re back from our trip to the Pacific Northwest. It was a great (if short) vacation. We made sure to visit each spot on the list of favorites and discover some new ones as well.

Clyde Common, a gem of the Portland restaurant scene has spawned a new cousin. One of it’s kitchen’s best recently opened up brand spankin’ new restaurant and charcuterie Olympic Provisions. As soon as we heard about it, we were in hailing a taxi to check it out.

The sign hanging on the back wall of the kitchen says it all: Olympic Provisions is all about MEAT. Not just any meat mind you, house-cured specialty meats sourced from local farms.

We loved the charcuterie platter and the pancetta. And don’t get me started on the vegetables, the brussels sprouts were good enough to take on any pork dish on the menu!

Photos taken by me! Olympic Provisions rules. Check it out the next time you are in Portland.

Hi! First of all, I love your blog… I’m headed to Portland for my first time tomorrow, is there anywhere I absolutely should not go without seeing/eating?

Hey Ashley! Definitely hit up Olympic Provisions, Clyde Common and The Screen Door for food as well as the food carts in the Pearl District! For shopping I love Frances May, Canoe and Local35. You’re going to love Portland! We always have such a great time there
