Gimmie!

This may be my first ever Gimmie post about an item that cannot actually be gotten. (At least as far as I can tell.)


Have you ever been out shopping and stumbled upon something that is so perfect you just have to have it and then–then–you tell yourself to be (gasp!) responsible and put it back for another time…please tell me I am not alone and you’ve done this too, right?


And now here is is, one full year later and I am still not over it. What, what is it you ask? What am I so terribly hung up over? Why, the Super Duper Strength Sunglasses from Karen Walker S/S 09 of course.


I love the oversized round shape and vintage feel. Since the glasses seem to be sold out everywhere I can only assume that some of you lucky ducks did in fact get your hands on a pair and to you I say, enjoy them. And wear them with striped shirts for me please!

    I just did that last weekend with this amazing Autumn Cashmere wrap sweater, and now I’m afraid that it’s been sold…it was the last one in my size…DOH!

    LOVE this painting. And HATE that feeling. A turquoise-colored handbag at a little shop in Cobble Hill had my eye for the entire time I was in the store. I didn’t buy it. I think about how perfect that turquoise-colored bag would be ALL the time. And that was 5 years ago!
