Stripes

I love stripes, I can’t get enough of them. My closet is overflowing with striped shirts, dresses, shorts, etc. Classic and cool they make me think of all the very best things:
Jean Seberg in Breathless, sexy sailors, the entire country of France, Audrey Hepburn, etc.
One thing is clear, good things come in striped packages.
One of the stripe’s best qualities is that it seems to always be in style. Season after season it remains fresh-looking and begs to be worn in a new and different way.
Right now I want black stripes, evenly spaced and alternating with something neutral like white, ivory or heather grey. I want them to start at my shoulders and end at my knees (or ankles!) in a simple silhouette that I can wear with anything. I’d pair them with a soft, chambray button down and some colored flats to be set for any adventure, seafaring or otherwise.
