Gimmie!

I am obsessed with the print story from Rag & Bone’s Spring 2011 collection. The combination of photos, color-blocking, stripes and shades of blue come together in an effect that is totally desirable. I can’t even pick one piece from the collection that I love more than the rest. It’s all so amazing, I just want to get something…

…(this could be dangerous.)

The problem with holiday shopping is that it is still technically shopping.

Every year while looking for gifts for my loved ones I inevitably find things I’d like to get for myself.

Shoes are the toughest things for me to say no to too. Especially when they are are faux croc, especially when they have a stacked wooden heel, especially when they are by Rachel Comey, especially when they are on sale

Note to anyone shopping for gifts for me. I am not secretly asking for these for Christmas! I don’t actually need awesome croc-stamped Rachel Comey boots. But you have to admit, they are mighty hard not to want!

I thought I could get through the lace up bootie trend without a hitch. I mean, I am pretty well set for boots this year; I’ve got black ones, brown ones and grey ones.

What more does a girl need really?

Apparently, she needs these.

Lace-up booties, they’re in my dreams, the elusive closet piece that would make everything look better (in my mind).

I love this J.Crew version because it is so pared down and simple.  Plus, a friend of mine who has them tells me they are super comfortable.

Hold me back people, hoooolld me back!

I’ve been coveting an aviator cap ever since Hanneli posted this photo last February.

Luckily Rag & Bone read my mind.

I put their Knit Helmet Hat on during my visit to the Brooklyn Barneys this past weekend and it was the one.

Don’t know how I walked out of the store without it (though the 70 degree weather might have been a factor), but I know I am definitely going back!

Really feeling Nina Chakrabarti’s excellent sentiment today: Hell is not being able to afford the shoes I love

(does everyone remember this post from last fall?)

It is a terrible thing to look at these incredible Valentino shoes (that look so pretty snapped by The Sartorialist on the feet of various mystery fashionistas) and know that they will almost certainly never be mine.

I have always been a sucker for a really pointy toe. Gold pyramid studs will get me every time. And, I can’t even begin to describe how much I love the new kitten heel we are seeing on so many shoes. It’s like the fashion gods heard my prayers!

That snakeskin one at the top left is especially amazing. But I’d settle for these in a heartbeat too.

I was so excited to contribute one of my must-have picks for Fall over on Pretty Mommy this week while Michelle is on vacation!

Michelle and I have collaborated in the past and she’s got a great eye for style. Of course I wasn’t surprised when I sent over these gorgeous Loeffler Randall booties (that I was drooling over) and she said she had been eyeing them too!

Imagining these on my feet, I rounded out the look with some great accessories from Michelle’s shop. I’d buy it all if I could (but I can’t). Gimmie gimmie gimmie gimmie!

Well hello kitty! I know I am a little behind the curve on this one but how could I resist? These cat-shaped lipsticks from Paul & Joe Beauté are so damn cheeky and cute, I’d love to have one peeking out of my makeup bag.

It seems to be unanimous, from MiuMiu’s cat-printed collection, to Grace Coddington’s Catwalk Cats, to the United Bamboo Cat Calendar to The Catorialist and now Paul & Joe too, it’s clearly cool to be a cat these days.

I don’t know about you but I. Can’t. Wait. For. Fall.

I just want an excuse to be cozy. To curl up in a ball on the couch in our new apartment with a book and Mr. Marlow for an afternoon.

And, I know exactly what I want to wear for my cozy day: a Fleece Boarder sweatshirt by Japanese barnd V:room.

A friend recently purchased one of these beauties and I can’t stop thinking about the supersoft, super cozy Japanese cotton blend that begs to never be taken off.

It isn’t exactly inexpensive loungewear but, whoever said taking time for yourself is one of life’s best luxuries was definitely on to something…

V:room Boarder Sweatshirt can be purchased right here.

Also, LGTM is now on Twitter! Follow me right here, I promise to keep things interesting!

Sometimes you want something even when it has no practical value because it is just that cool.

I was trolling through the internet the other day when I stumbled upon the website of Rachel Gilbert and her excellent line of party dresses.

I lost my breath though when I saw the River Gloves.

Perforated leather embellished with sparkling beads, these are a dream come true for every girl who grew up watching Desperately Seeking Susan & copying Michael Jackson’s choreography in her bedroom.

Sttttteeeeeeeeelllllaaaaaaaa!

I’ve loved Stella McCartney ever since her beginnings at Chloé. She excels at making sexy, ladylike clothes that are meant to be worn and worn well.

Her F/W 2010 collection was gorgeous start to finish. Simple pieces in a neutral palette for the effortlessly beautiful modern woman (in our wildest dreams anyway).

What really blew me away were these shoes though. (Faux) patent leather, pointy toes, a dangerously low vamp and the kittenish heel.

I see these shoes when I close my eyes, my feet have been waiting their whole lives for them I am sure of it!
