New LGTM Print Shop!

I am really excited to announce the brand new LGTM Print Shop over on Etsy!

Let’s face it, my blogging has taken a backseat lately to some very pressing responsibilities; namely a busy job and planning our wedding. I’ll be back on the blog as often as I can be between now and November 2011.

In the meantime I am creating new original prints for the Print Shop. I have started a new batch of designs to be given as gifts (to family, friends or–who are we kidding–yourself) for special occasions like birthdays, weddings and the like.

New prints feature customizable colors and details (where noted) and are available to be purchased individually or in sets.

I’ve got the first batch up in the shop now. I’ll alert you of new designs as they are added.

I’m so proud that these prints are currectly featured in Time Out New York’s Summer Wedding Issue!

Hope you like the new shop!

LGTM + Target Style!

Hello friends! I am thrilled (thrilled) to share with you that LGTM is the featured illustrator this month for Target Style on Facebook!

I may feature lots of fancy things on this blog but I am a Target-loving lady through and through. A few years back I visited a friend in Minneapolis and the first thing I wanted to do was go to Target. (the stores in Mpls are the best!)

For the June illustration I compiled some of my favorite summer picks from their Mossimo line. I love how Target is always on trend but stays true to their clean, fresh American style. Any of these pieces would be adorable for barbecues, beach trips, flea market outings, etc.

Here’s my favorite summer look pulled from my illustration: A striped jersey dress with a bold & bright cropped cardi. Flat sandals and a checked bag to mix up the prints & I’m all set for the weekend!

What are you doing this weekend and, (more importantly) what will you be wearing?

All pieces from Target (clockwise from top left): Mossimo Supply Co. Gingham Tote; Mossimo Supply Co. Maxi T-Shirt Dress; Mossimo Pieta Flat Thong Sandals;  Mossimo Crop Cardigan.

And check out the Target Style FB page right here!

Heat Seeking

Things have been so busy since we’ve gotten back that I haven’t had a second to share any of our photos from Mexico here on the blog!

It is a cold morning in NYC today so I thought these gorgeous shots of sky and sea and pool and plant (taken by Andy with his fabulous new camera) might warm us all up a bit!

Back next week (I hope!) Happy weekend everybody!

Happy Valentines Day!

I apologize for the lack of posts last week. I was sick as a dog and then when I finally got better I had to work my little tail off to catch up. Plus, it’s fashion week which means busybusybusy. I can’t wait to catch up on all of the shows with you, there is so much that I am already loving.

Today you are all my valentines!

Thank you for visiting this blog and thank you for reading. To those you you who come for the fashion, those of you who come for the food, those who come for the silly outfit posts or the wailing about wearing high heels, I love that you check in with me here as often as you do.

Much love to you and yours, wishing all of you a happy and love-filled day!

XOXO

You Say It’s Your Birthday

I love this photo. It is of one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten.

My friend made this birthday cake for me over the weekend. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and rose water buttercream, it was truly one of the most delightful birthday desserts in all of my 30 years of experience.

Today is officially my 30th birthday and I am sorry to say I am sick as a dog. I have been battling a pretty violent stomach bug for the past few days and as a result am feeling very weak and out of sorts. Andy and I have cancelled pretty much all celebratory plans for today opting instead for presents in bed and chamomile tea.

Apologies for not being very present on the blog or email. I’m really just sleeping and trying to get better. I’ll be back soon!

I Remember A Time Before Snow Boots

Do you?

I took a minute to flip back though my Tumblr page today (it really isn’t that long actually) and noticed I take a whole lot of pictures of my shoes. I mean, they’re good shoes, right?

Some of the shots tugged at my heart a little bit and reminded me of warm days of wearing summer sandals or flats without socks.

I thought I would share these thoughts of warmer weather with any of you suffering from the cold as much as I am.

It’s My Party

Well, here we go, I am officially entering the last week of my twenties. Next week is my 30th birthday.

All told, I think I am handling it pretty well. (I may have had an internal mini meltdown for a week or so during which I read half of a self-help book and pondered the overall meaning of things.)

Now I’m feeling more clear-headed and have new reading material on my Kindle. There is just one thing left to ponder: How to celebrate this big event?

Food, definitely food (I’ve got to get my hands on some of these); a bit of indulgence of course; I’d love to learn a new skill (hint hint!); and perhaps try on new set of stripes.

In my twenties to celebrate we played spin the bottle and drank Knockout Punch. I’d like to think 30 will feel a bit more cool and classy.

But, if I do end up drinking one too many Manhattans and making snow angels in the middle of Central Park at midnight, I guess that’s ok too.

30 doesn’t have to mean all grown up, it just means I’m one step closer.

Life is Rich

Hello! Please forgive my lack of posting this week. The heat has been out in our apartment and it has made it impossible to do anything but burrow deep under the covers and watch movies.

Thanks to all of your awesome tips and suggestions for our weekend in Richmond! We had such a wonderful time there.

I found the city itself to be incredibly charming and found that in different places it reminded me of the places I have lived like Philadelphia, Portland and even Detroit.

The people were friendly, the food was excellent & it felt like every time we took a walk we found something new and cool to explore.

From the gorgeous interior of the Jefferson Hotel to a simple breakfast at the Urban Farmhouse (mmmm rosemary egg sandwiches). From a colorful beet salad at Can Can to the faded signs painted onto brick walls all over town. From the bloody mary bar at Balliceaux (and their bacon menu!!!) to a deep-hued sunrise, Richmond may be a small city but it is certainly big on color & culture.

I am excited to go back again (although I may wait until summertime).

Happy Birthday Sister Girlfriend!

Today is my sister’s 27th birthday!

My sister and I have always been two peas in a pod. We call each other “sister girlfriend” because we are sisters and also the best of friends (and very smart and witty too as you can tell).

She’s the best and everyone who meets her knows it.

Happy birthday lovely sister, I got you something real good!
